Lists
View, search and sort your contact lists, open a list to work with its contacts, split a large list, mark a whole list Do Not Call, and delete lists safely.
The Lists page and its sorting, opening a list and searching its contacts, editing and deleting contacts and tags from a list, Mark DNC, splitting a list into smaller lists, and what deleting a list does to its contacts.
A list is a group of contacts you work with together, for example one import, one lead source or one campaign audience. You use lists to choose who to call, text or email. A contact can be on several lists at once.
Lists are created three ways:
- By importing a spreadsheet. Each import makes a new list.
- From contact search results.
- By splitting an existing list (below).
Before you start
What you can do here depends on your role. Deleting lists, for example, needs delete permission for lists. See Team members.
View your lists
- Click Lists in the top navigation.
- Use Search here... to find a list by name.
- Use the sort control to order by Date or Name. Click the arrow next to it to flip the order.
The table shows each list's Name, Date, number of Contacts, Tags and actions under Details.
The Lists page with the search box, the sort control set to Date, and the table of lists with Name, Date, Contacts, Tags and the View List, Delete List and Split List buttons.
Open a list
- Click View List.
- The list's contacts are shown with Name, Company, Address, Email, Phone, Tags, Last Note and Creation Date/Time.
- Use Search here... to find a contact in the list.
From a contact's row you can:
- Click Edit to change the contact's details. See Contacts.
- Remove a tag from the contact by clicking the tag's remove icon.
- Click Delete to delete the contact. Confirm with Yes, Delete it!
Delete on a contact row deletes the contact itself, not just its place on this list. It disappears from every list.
An open list with its name as the title, the Search here box, the Mark DNC and Sync to PureCaller buttons, and the contacts table with Edit and Delete on each row.
Mark a whole list Do Not Call
- Open the list.
- Click Mark DNC.
- Confirm with Yes, Mark DNC!
Every contact in the list is marked Do Not Call. The confirmation warns that this can't be undone, so check you've picked the right list. While the marking is running, you can't start it again on the same list. You need permission to change DNC status.
Split a list
Splitting makes several smaller lists from one big one, for example to spread calls across days.
- On the Lists page, click Split List.
- In How many contacts per list?, enter the size of each new list.
- Confirm with Yes, split it!
Bigly creates new lists named after the original with -1, -2 and so on, each with up to that many contacts. They keep the original list's tags. The original list isn't changed.
The number is the size of each new list, not the number of lists. Entering 500 for a list of 2,000 contacts makes four lists.
Delete a list
- On the Lists page, click Delete List.
- Confirm with Yes, delete it!
When you delete an imported list, Bigly also deletes its contacts that are only on that list and have never been called, texted or emailed. Contacts on other lists, or with any history, are kept. Lists made by splitting never delete contacts.
Other buttons
| Button | What it does |

| Sync to PureCaller | Sends the list to PureCaller for caller ID branding. Only useful if your account uses PureCaller. |
| Identity | Matches the list's contacts against identity data. Shown only on accounts with this add-on. Opens Sync With Identity Management Data; click Sync to start. |
