Calling a list with the power dialer

Open a call list's contacts, pick a caller number, start the dialer, work through calls with the automatic next-call countdown, stop the dialer, and filter or sort the list.

The power dialer lets you and your team call a list of contacts yourselves, straight from the browser. You don't need a desk phone: your computer's microphone and speakers are the phone. When a call ends, Bigly counts down and dials the next contact automatically, so you can work through a list quickly.

Use it when you want people, not the AI agent, to make the calls. For AI calling, see Calls.

Before you start

  • Create a call list on the Calls page.
  • Buy at least one number on the Phone numbers page.
  • Use a headset if you can, and allow your browser to use your microphone when it asks.

Open the dialer

  1. Go to Calls and click the name of a call list.
  2. Click View Contact Details. The dialer opens with the list's contacts.

Each contact shows their name, Numbers, Last Call (or Not called yet), company, title, location and their latest Note.

Make calls

  1. In Caller Number, choose the number your contacts will see.
  2. Click Start Dialer. Bigly calls the first contact.
  3. Talk to the contact. Their details stay on screen during the call.
  4. When the call ends, a Next Call button appears with a five-second countdown. Bigly dials the next contact when it reaches zero. Click Next Call to dial straight away.
  5. To take a break, click Stop Dialer. When you're ready, click Start Dialer again.

Silence turns the dialer's sound on or off.

Find the right contacts

  • Click Filters to narrow the list by Country, State, City, Company or Title.
  • Use sort by to change the order the contacts are dialed in.

Who you can't call

The dialer won't call a contact who is marked Do Not Call. You'll see an error instead. To check or change a contact's settings, open the contact and look at Communication (Main). See Contacts and the Compliance overview.

Your calls, your responsibility

Calls you place yourself are still subject to calling-hour and consent rules. Check that you're allowed to call each contact, and at what times, before you start the dialer.

Power dialer and AI blasts

A call list can be called by the AI or by people. While an AI blast is running on the list, the manual dialer buttons are hidden. Pause the AI blast first if you want to call the contacts yourself. The AI buttons (Start AI Blast, Pause AI Blast, Resume AI Blast, Cancel AI Blast and Schedule) are also on this page.

Troubleshooting

The Caller Number list is empty. You don't have a number that's ready to use. Numbers can take a few minutes to become active after you buy them. Check Phone numbers.

The other person can't hear me. Check that your browser has microphone access for Bigly and that the right microphone is selected in your computer's sound settings.

Can not initiate call to a DNC contact. The contact is marked Do Not Call. Skip them or, if they have given you permission again, update their settings.
