No reply followup
Automatically nudge interested leads by text when they stop replying to your AI SMS conversation.
What counts as an interested lead, turning No Reply FollowUp on, setting messages per round, round length, the follow-up window, the per-lead cap and breaks, and reading the summary line.
No reply followup sends timed follow-up texts to an interested lead who has gone quiet. An interested lead is one who has already replied to your AI at least once. When an AI text then goes unanswered, Bigly keeps nudging them until they reply, book a meeting, or one of your limits is reached.
The AI writes each nudge fresh, so it doesn't repeat earlier messages. You can shape how it writes them with the Follow-up Instruction on your SMS agent.
Before you start
- This tab only appears when no-reply follow-up is turned on for your account. Contact support if you don't see No Reply FollowUp in the AI menu.
- Set up an SMS agent, because the agent writes the follow-up messages.
Turn on no-reply follow-up
- Go to AI › No Reply FollowUp.
- Click the Enable No-Reply Follow-Up switch so it shows Active.
- Fill in Sending cadence and Limits and schedule (see the table below).
- Read the summary line under the switch. It describes, in plain words, what your settings will do.
- Click Update.
AI › No Reply FollowUp with the Enable No-Reply Follow-Up switch set to Active, the green summary sentence beneath it, and the Sending cadence and Limits and schedule fields filled in, with the Update button at the bottom.
To pause it, click the switch back to Inactive and click Update.
Settings explained
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Messages per round | How many follow-ups to send in each round. |
| Round length | The period, in Hour or Day, that the round's messages are spread evenly across. |
| Follow-up window (days) | Stop following up this many days after the original unanswered message. |
| Maximum messages per lead | A hard cap on the total follow-ups one lead can receive. |
| Break between rounds (days) | How many days to wait before the next round starts. 0 means no break. |
For example, 2 messages per round over 1 day, with a 7-day window, a cap of 6 and a 1-day break, sends two nudges spaced through the day, pauses a day, then repeats, stopping after 6 messages or 7 days, whichever comes first.
Follow-up window (days) and Maximum messages per lead are the same settings as How many days to FollowUp and Maximum no of messages on the Followup Sequence tab. Changing them in one place changes them in the other.
Common questions
Who gets these messages? Only leads who have replied to your AI at least once and then stopped replying. Leads who never replied aren't included.
When do the messages stop? As soon as the lead replies or books a meeting, or when the window or the per-lead cap is reached.
Can I write the messages myself? No. The AI writes each one so it reads naturally in the conversation. To change the style, edit the Follow-up Instruction on your SMS agent.
Do these respect quiet hours? See Calling hours for the rules Bigly applies to outreach.
