What the MCP doesn't cover
The parts of Bigly your AI assistant can't read or change through the MCP, and where to do each of them in the app instead.
Explain that the MCP is for setting up the AI agent, then tour the areas it can't reach (contacts, lists, imports, calls, SMS campaigns, numbers, billing, statistics, integrations) and where each one lives in the app.
The Bigly MCP is built for setting up and tuning your AI agent. It deliberately doesn't touch your leads, your calling activity or your account's money and phone numbers. For everything below, use the app. Each item links to its step-by-step guide.
Before you start
- If you're not sure whether something is covered, ask your assistant. It can only use the tools Bigly gives it, so it will tell you if there's no tool for that job.
- See Using Bigly with your AI assistant for what the MCP can do.
A Claude conversation where the user asks to import a contact list and the assistant explains the Bigly MCP can't do that and points to the Import page in the app.
Contacts and lists
The MCP never reads or changes contact or lead data. Do these in the app:
- View, edit or search contacts: Contacts
- Import a contact file: Importing contacts
- Create and manage lists: Lists
- Tag contacts and manage tags: Tags
- Custom contact fields: Custom attributes
- Archived contacts: Archived contacts
Calls and calling
- Start or manage call campaigns: Calls
- Power dialer: Power dialer
- Transfers: Call transfers
- Scheduled callbacks: Scheduled callbacks
- Listen to recordings: Call recordings
- Place a real test call: Test calls
The assistant can show you what the AI agent would be told on a call without placing one. See Call context preview.
Phone numbers
- Buy, assign or release numbers: Phone numbers
Text messages, voicemail and blasts
- Send SMS campaigns: SMS campaigns
- Read and reply to messages: Inbox
- 10DLC registration: 10DLC registration
- Ringless voicemail: Ringless voicemail
- Scheduled blasts: Scheduled blasts
The assistant can set up SMS agents that answer inbound texts.
AI agent screens not covered
Most of the AI agent can be set up through the MCP, but a few screens can't:
- Live results of your AI agent: Bot activity
- Change history and rollback: Activity log
- Prompt Selector: Prompt selector
- Email Prompt: Email prompt
- SMS Campaign Config: SMS campaign config
- No Reply Followup: No-reply follow-up
- First message: First message
- Qualifying Questions and Tenant Configuration, which are set up by your Bigly account team: Qualifying questions
Statistics and reports
The MCP doesn't read your results or statistics. Use:
- Call statistics, SMS statistics, RVM statistics and Lead statistics
- Bot activity statistics
- Reports and Shared statistics
Calendars and landing pages
Integrations
The assistant can manage the webhooks your AI agent sends. Other integrations are set up in the app:
- Integrations overview
- HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Bullhorn
- Facebook Lead Ads, TikTok Lead Ads
- Google Calendar, Calendly, Zapier
- Sending leads in by webhook or API: Lead webhooks
Account, team and billing
- Your profile: Profile
- Add or remove users and change roles: Team members
- Plans, payments and invoices: Billing
- API keys for other software: API keys
- Email signature: Email signature
Compliance lists
The assistant can read and change some guard-rail settings, such as allowed zip codes and opt-out tags, and explain why calls are blocked. Bigly's built-in do-not-call and litigator checks themselves aren't something you change through the MCP. See Compliance overview and Calling hours.
Common questions
Will the MCP cover more areas later? Possibly. This page lists what isn't covered today.
Why can't it read my contacts? By design. Keeping lead data out of the MCP means your assistant never sees personal details about your contacts.
